ITINERARY OVERVIEW

 

Day 1 – Arrival in Cairo

Arrival at Cairo International Airport.

Meet and assist by our representative through arrival formalities.

Transfer to the hotel and check-in.

Overnight in Cairo.

Meals: none

 

Day 2 – Cairo (Red Pyramid – Bent Pyramid – Step Pyramid of Djoser – Serapeum)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Drive to Dahshur (48 km – approx. 1 hour).

Visit the Red Pyramid, built by Pharaoh Sneferu of the 4th Dynasty — the first successfully completed true pyramid, named after the reddish color of its stone blocks.

Visit the Bent Pyramid, one of Sneferu’s three pyramids in Dahshur, unique for its change in angle and exceptionally well preserved.

Drive to Saqqara (15 km – approx. 30 minutes).

Visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser, a transitional form between mastaba and true pyramid.

Visit the Serapeum, an underground complex of tombs for the sacred Apis bulls.

Overnight: Cairo

 

Day 3 – Cairo (Private Visit to the Sphinx – Giza Pyramids – Grand Egyptian Museum) -Evening

Private Visit to the Great Pyramid

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to the Giza Plateau for a private visit to the Sphinx.

Visit the Giza Pyramids:

  • Great Pyramid

  • Pyramid of Khafre

  • Pyramid of Menkaure

Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Lunch at a local restaurant and return to the hotel for rest.

In the evening, return to the Giza Plateau for a private visit to the Great Pyramid from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by transfer back to the hotel.

Overnight: Cairo

 

Day 4 – Cairo / Luxor (Flight) – Dendera – Luxor Temple

Breakfast and check-out.

Transfer to Cairo Airport and flight to Luxor.

Upon arrival, meet and drive to Dendera.

Visit the Dendera Temple, one of the best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Known for its Hathor-headed columns, astronomical ceilings, and the famous Dendera Zodiac.

Return to Luxor and embark on the Nile cruise.

Afternoon visit to Luxor Temple, located on the east bank of the Nile, dedicated to Amun, his consort Mut, and their son Khonsu.

Overnight: onboard (Nile cruise)

 

Day 5 – Luxor (Valley of the Kings – Hatshepsut Temple – Colossi of Memnon – Karnak Temple)

Breakfast onboard.

Visit the West Bank of the Nile:

  • Valley of the Kings — tombs of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom

  • Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari

  • Colossi of Memnon

Visit Karnak Temple — “the temple of temples,” with obelisks, a sacred lake, and the monumental Hypostyle Hall with 134 columns dedicated to Amun-Ra.

Return to the ship, lunch, and sail toward Edfu, passing through the Esna Lock.

Overnight: onboard

 

Day 6 – Edfu (Temple of Horus) – Sailing to Aswan

Breakfast onboard.

Visit the magnificent Temple of Horus in Edfu, the site of the mythological battle between Horus and his uncle Set.

Return to the ship, lunch, and continue sailing to Kom Ombo Temple, the temple of light and darkness, then onward to Aswan.

Overnight: onboard

 

Day 7 – Aswan (Abu Simbel) – Afternoon: Nubian Village

Early breakfast (lunch box).

Early morning bus excursion to Abu Simbel (270 km from Aswan).

Visit the two temples built by Ramses II — one dedicated to himself, the other to his wife Nefertari.

Return to Aswan.

Overnight: onboard

 

Day 8 – Aswan / Cairo (Flight)

Breakfast onboard.

Visit the Philae Temple, the center of worship of the goddess Isis.

Transfer to Aswan Airport and flight to Cairo and transfer to the hotel.

Overnight: Cairo

 

Day 9 – Cairo (Departure)

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

Transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure.
